Routiers Restaurants processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. This involves the following data:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • The location you choose and the content of your message, if you use the contact form
  • Your choice in the cookie notification
  • Data about your visit to the website, such as the pages you view. We only measure this if you give permission for statistics.
  • Internet browser and device type
  • IP address, which is necessary to show you the website and to keep it secure

Special and/or sensitive personal data

Our website does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years of age, unless they have permission from parents or a guardian. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without that consent, please contact us and we will delete that information.

For what purpose we process personal data

Routiers Restaurants processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To call or email you when necessary to carry out our services, for example to confirm a reservation or answer a question.
  • To forward your message via the contact form to the location you choose.
  • To remember which cookies you have allowed.
  • With your permission, to measure how the website is used so that we can improve it.
  • To keep the website safe and working properly.

Automated decision-making

Routiers Restaurants does not make decisions about matters that can have significant consequences for people based on automated processing. This refers to decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without human intervention.

How long we keep personal data

Routiers Restaurants does not store your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which your data is collected. For name, email address, and message content that you leave via the website or by email, we use a retention period of one month after answering your question.

Your choice in the cookie notification is stored for twelve months in a cookie on your device. After that, we will ask for your permission again. Data about the use of the website is stored in Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Routiers Restaurants does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality. Routiers Restaurants remains responsible for these processing operations.

For the website, we work with the following parties:

  • WebsiteToday from Veenendaal builds, hosts, and maintains the website.
  • Elementor handles the sending of messages via the contact form and records your choice in the cookie notification.
  • Google provides Google Analytics (only after your permission), the maps and the 360° tour on the location pages, and the Google reviews with profile photos.

Some of these parties also process data outside the European Union. This only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you visit this website. On your first visit, we ask in the cookie notification which cookies you allow. Routiers Restaurants uses the following cookies:

  • Necessary cookies ensure that the website works, for example by remembering your choice in the cookie notification. No permission is required for this.
  • Statistics: with Google Analytics, we measure how visitors use the website. These cookies are only placed if you give permission. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

The location pages feature a Google Maps map and a 360° tour from Google. In addition, we show Google reviews with profile photos that come from Google. When you view these components, your browser connects to Google. Google may receive your IP address and place cookies. You can read more about this in Google’s privacy policy.

You can always adjust your choice via the cookie settings. In addition, you can disable or delete cookies via your internet browser settings.

Viewing, adjusting, or deleting data

You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you.

You can send a request to info@routiers-restaurants.com. To ensure that the request was made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID. In this copy, black out your passport photo, the MRZ (the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport number, and your citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, but in any case within four weeks.

Routiers Restaurants would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisor, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

How we secure personal data

Routiers Restaurants takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured, or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us via info@routiers-restaurants.com.
